'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first important achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he earlier was, and would definitely think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
