Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.
Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.
At the same time, a young boy was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.
Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.
"What is required is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a online statement.
Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.
A series of attacks struck power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.
Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.
Regional authorities said the city experienced heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.
The assaults follow evenings of aerial attacks in the region, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.
All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.
Government officials told reporters that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the national power system, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.
He said utility staff and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
